Default First BRZ on my block.

Last Thurs I said goodbye to my STi and said hello to this cute lil thang...

Working on better pics. Just got back from a work trip to Palm Springs and it was a hell of a lot of fun.

Stock wheels are ghey tho. My 5Zigens are gonna get a white PC treatment and some tires. Might get another set of 595ss. Those things last forever.

Or...anyone trying to get rid of some GC fitment wheels?

Good job on hustling! Again, sweet car. I can't wait to see one in person.

Just got the vinyl installed today, although we're going to re-do the tail lights before adding tint over them. I'll be getting pics up soon.

Right now just stock wheels. I have a set of 17x8s that are black and I want to powdercoat white and get new tires for. But...$$$

Or I'll just steal Randi's gold wheels...

Had these leftover from my STi so I threw them on, along with a STi rear swaybar (thanks, James!). It was getting dark and rainy so I'll need to get some pics in the daylight and hopefully clean the car a bit. Covered in mud right now...

I love the whole concept of the BRZ, but I am not sure I could give up the power.

What is it like stepping down on power so much, do you miss the boost?

Coming from an STi, yes I got spoiled with the power. But while it's fun, I never really got to use the 305hp on my daily commute. And aside from that, the STi was heavy and I had to fight it around corners. This car is like point & shoot. MurrDogg can tell you it handles pretty nicely even on the stock tires.

At low RPMs, it's pretty weak, but up above 5k it hauls ass. It loves to be wound up. Plus, there are already lots of mods out there, just gotta wait and see what won't blow up the motor. And see if anyone can tune it besides EcuTek ($$$).

25-30mpg doesn't hurt these days either.

Good to know, My STI is just a weekend or rainy day vehicle, I ride my motorcycle for commuting....44mpg :-)

I don't think I could ever bring myself to sell my 2004 STI, First year of the USDM STI.

As I was leaving Subiefest, I spotted a blue (not WRB...some light blue ghey color) WRX with white 5zigens. Since I've been wanting to paint my black ones white, I took a pic and photoshopped onto my car to see how I like it.

I'll be picking up some white wheel paint ASAP.

Oh yeah, that pic also shows off my new muffler delete pipe. It's pretty loud, so I may just keep it on hand as a track pipe (yeah yeah one of these days) and save up for the Nameless axleback.

Just got me some camber bolts...finally. I'll play with that this weekend. From what I'm reading, the toe change is super minimal on this car when changing camber, so I may not need to do anything else.

And on Sunday, a guy from LA area is going to the Q for autox and will be stopping by to let me check out his Nameless axeleback that he's got for sale. If all goes well, I'll probably buy it. Muffler delete is cool and all, but kind of annoying for the daily commute.

Also got my Mach V LEDs last week and installed those. Sadly, the rear turn signals are pretty impossible to see through the read and smoke vinyl. But I installed:

- dome light
- license plate lights
- front turn signals
- puddle lights (bottom of doors)

I also got a stubby aluminum antenna. Looks a ton better.
