Default Rear Deck Measurements

Sup guys

I just wanted to see if anyone has their rear deck lid off, if so, can you please take some measurements to see how big of a hole do i need to install the 3rd brake light. Right now, it's just drilled through so it's bending the decklid down. Photos will help!!!

Thanks
Elias

I don't think you have to have one. I got a pulled over for a front license plate violation. The cop walked all around my car, never said anything about missing a third brake light.

no u do... just most cops either dont bother try finding them or dont care cause u cant even see them unless ur stopping period... they dont stay lit like your normal lights at night... and they are a good thing to have... i have almost rear ended people cause all there lights were out except the 3rd... very sketchy... just my .02 but ya its the law to have one....

all 1986 cars and newer need to have a 3rd brake light. if you have 4, most likely your car was wingless and the wing was added later. If you get rear ended and you're missing one, you might run into issues with the insurance. I'd rather not risk it :)

Unfortunately i already put holes in this one, so a trade is out of the question. Let me know if you wanna sell yours Feint.

I was rearended, the cop and insurance company said nothing about it.

What about the golf cart cars? When I lived in Nado, lots of people drove street legal golf carts with no 3rd brake lights?

I don't think they are registered as a passenger vehicle, I think they're only limited to 35mph roads. In any case, i'd rather not give the 5.0 another reason to get pulled over.
