Default I'm back on the road.

I'm back on the road, car was out 10 days for a motor swap/ rebuild... Not too shabby, $5075.00 built by Steve Johnson and Damien LaBounty @ S&S Performance Buggy, Alpine CA. Build includes Clevite bearings, crower rods, J&E pistons, new crank, closed deck and sleeved shortblock, ARP head studs and stage II clutch/resurfaced flywheel. I need to keep her within 5.5K rpms for the break in process of 500/1000/then 2500. I can start to open her up after the second oil change.

Yup! still on E85...

I dont feel right taking her up to 5500 yet, i got her up to 5000 rpms today for the quick loop around E county. She feels goods and getting better the more miles I put on her. The clutch on the other hand will take a lot of getting used to.

It was a block swap, not a new motor, one from an 07. I agree'd to it to speed things up. the 2.5 been the same ol' block for years... 5G$ is a lot but I think what I got was well worth it. considering other shops out there will sell you a built block for right around 5 depending on parts, not including labor. Anyhow I went to the people I know and I got taken care of. You gotta pay to play. The only thing that matters is that I got a solid rebuilt car and I'm back on the road.
