Default coolant drain plug leaking...

does anybody experience leaking coolant on the drain plug...can i use thread sealant or teflon on the plug ...lmk..thanks

OEM or aftermarket radiator? Those are plastic plugs, but they are really in there and I have never seen them be loose. They are actually a pain in the arse to loosen them.

I don't see anything wrong with using teflon tape.

I have an aftermarket radiator..took off the plug and put teflon but didnt work..and i notice there's no O-ring on it..so i bought another one and it has O-ring..i think i lost the original O-ring..i'll try the new one..i hope it works..thanks Will......

yeah i had mine leak before and it was because the o-ring fell off when i put it back on, i had to buy another plug with o-ring

yeah bro...i ended up buying new plug..just installed the new one and it works good...

Teflon is my second plan if the new plug with o-ring doesnt work..so far it works..thanks for the info...

Anything leaking is annoying, I would try the new O-ring then roll with the teflon tape.
