Default HELP! Tire thread shaving services in SD?

Hey guys, i ran up a pothole on claremont mesa drive and i now have two bulges on the sidewall of my tire. I know my tire is probably shot now, and i still have a decent amount of thread left on the other three tires.

I'm going to discount tire to try to rush in a new tire Pirelli (245/40/17) pzero nero M+S.

I just need to find a place where i can get my tire thread shaved so it will match the other tires. (So i won't screw up my differentials)

btw i drive an 05 sti. If i get a new tire, what's the max i should drive it if i can't get the thread matched? I need to go to LA this friday so it might be a problem =(

Make sure the the tread difference is about 2/32 and u'll be fine. Which Discount Tire are you going to? I was told the one on Clairemont Mesa can do that, and they usually charge about $20 a tire. if the tread difference is really significant, then i wouldn't do the trip on your car. When that happened to me, the new tire was 4/32 off the rest of them, and it was fine. I changed all tires after about 1000 miles or so.

12mphspool had his tires shaved. I forget where, and he isn't a Junkie or post on the Junkie site anymore. You might find him on iwsti or Nasioc. Sorry I don't have more info 4 u. GL.
